Directions & Tips

The best way to reach Casa Laguna is undoubtedly using Google Maps. But not everyone will have the possibility. Below are the most common directions and some tips

From Panama City by Car
  • From the Airport or the city, just take the Interamericana Highway in Direction of Santiago/David

  • Drive for about 365 kms
  • You will reach San Felix, where the entrance of Las Lajas is
  • The entrance is on the other side of the Highway (left side), than to get there you just need to drive few more hundreds meters and turn back at the first return available (you will see a Terpel Gas Station on the opposite side just before the return)
  • Once you will enter in Las Lajas just drive following the beach signs
  • In about 13 kms you will reach the beach where you need to follow our Casa Laguna signs
  • The last 1.8 kms is dirt road, all car can get in, just drive slow

Public Transport
  • Travel around Panama is quite easy with public transport
  • Domestic Flights are available, David Airport is the closest to our area (80 kms)
  • The most economical transport is definitely the bus. Big Buses for long distance (ex. Panama – David), or mini Buses for medium/short distance (ex. David – San Felix)
  • To reach us just ask to stop in Cruce de San Felix, then just get a Taxi to the beach (8/12$ one way 2 people)
Tips for people arriving from abroad
  • It is highly recommended to buy a sim card from a local phone company.
  • No registration is needed and the cost is extremely low.
  • Once purchased the Sim Card you can buy a package of mobile data to stay connected on the territory and so you can use google maps (important for those who rent a car and want to visit the country).
  • It is recommended to calculate your movements in order to reach the desired location before dark (better before 6 pm).
